Busy, busy, busy....
Life is getting busier for me all the time. Out of my 7 different groups of students, 4 of them have writing classes with me. And I figure if you are going to learn how to write, you have to do it. So, I have these students (nearly 150) doing a writing activity of some kind for every class, which, of course, means work for me checking it over (is that good English?). And that's on top of other work associated with the classes, plus weekly prep. Outside of class, gradually more students are also wanting to spend time with me in their effort to improve their English. I even have some students not in my classes asking. It's all good though. I'm really enjoying my college life.

Hi Jim,
Sounds like you're really adjusting to life in China. I'm so glad for you. Your students may not want you to leave. We just may have to start calling you Professor Pitcher. Don't you just love the sound of that!!! Keep writing. I look forward to reading your blog everyday.
Love Peg
PS. That's quite a lamp that you bought!!!
Peg, the question is, Am I going to want to leave! These students are becoming so precious to me.
You can call me Teacher Jim!
Hi, Jim -- I love your postings so keep them coming. You're sharing your experiences and I for one really appreciate it. It sounds like you have a really heavy work load! Are you getting our and about much? Still cold there, huh? We're warming up now. Spring is beginning to push up through the ground. I even think I saw some buds on trees the other day. Soon I'll be playing golf with Ken and the other guys in our group. Oh, happy days!
I'm really glad for the connections & opportunities you're being given, Jim. It sounds great! Thinking of you & your students.
Heavy workload is right! My free time is getting less and less, and so far weekends have been filled with going into Harbin for shopping, fellowship, and meeting with other expatriates.
Hi Jim, I just got back to check your site...after bumping into you at the Skaneatles event. What an adventure,,,I will forward to see if I can do this. I have a birthday tommorrow 60+++ and +++ so e-mail is not automatic. Grant - Auburn
