All fine and good. Then comes the afternoon, following classes taught. Before joining another colleague for supper in the dining hall the same urge comes, but this time more urgently. (I've been having a problem with constipation for a few days - probably all the excitement and stress - so this morning I took an AloeLax. My brothers know what those are.) Shall I try to make it back to the apartment for a more "comfortable" setting? I hesitate for a moment, but then realize "no". Off comes the coat and back into the bathroom. I figure the practice won't hurt! Another accomplishment for the day.
What I should also tell you is that there is no paper provided (you know the kind you use for these moments) . If you don't have any with you, well, let's just say you're caught with your pants down. Fortunately I know, so I always have some packed in my briefcase. Oh yes, make sure you also bring along your own soap and towel, too. That's something I still have to do. (Don't worry, if you come to visit and stay in a nice hotel, it's much better!)

James,
I can't remember what all I said in the first comment.
I know I said, "Thanks for sharing your bathroom experiences with us."
Especially while my Lemon poppy-seed and triple berry muffins were in the oven, for breakfast.
I can't remember what Howie said.
I think you get my Comments, if I go Anonymous, I wish I knew how to get a picture and my identity on this thing, like Donna does.
Pack a hand towel and soap next time, and take that Aloelax on Fri. night, when you will be home SAT.
Love,, Shirley and Howie
hi jim
Jim,
You keep that pace up and YOU will be paying the Chinese sewage treatment plants a "poop surcharge"!! Probably a lot more than what you would charge me here, so while you're dropping your pants, you better open your wallet!! :)
Talk with you soon!

Jim - i feel your pain - when i was in Thailand in January they had those same type toilets in many places - it's certainly a challenge for us westerners

I guess that makes me a Boy Scout!
Jim,
I am glad everything is coming out ok. I found some resources for you about squatting.
