Life is VERY busy for me right now with mid-term exams for my students, which were delayed because of the recent 7-day holiday the school gave us. And then there will be all those tests to score (I have over 240 students). All my students have some kind of written work they have to turn in nearly every class, and I decided to make it a requirement they get any past-due work in to me before the exam or they couldn't take the exam. And no exam equals a zero. If you don't think that caused a scramble! It has also meant extra work for me up to the last minute. All but a few students made the deadline, and for the few who got it in past the deadline I'm working out some kind of penalty along with permission to take the exam. I think most students are appreciating the higher standards I'm setting (at least, I haven't gotten any hate letters yet!).
And in the meantime, a committee of students are working with me on planning a big Birthday Party (to celebrate my 65th and to give them a good time) for Saturday, May 23. More about that later.
