What an event....

Yesterday my day in the city started out with a late-date Easter Celebration at the Hallelujah Church. When we arrived (early) a worship team was already leading the congregation in songs of praise (all in Chinese, of course!). Then came some preaching, followed by a choir concert....actually more like a production. It was absolutely magnificent, one of the best choir concerts I have ever witnessed, very creative. I wish so much I could bring them to America. They would get packed out houses and a standing ovation (interesting here, Chinese applause seems to be rather reserved). The scene being portrayed in the picture is Christ's crucifixion and the sorrow that follows, both by Peter and Judas. More than once I was moved.

It's really surprising what's here in China - they have come a long way and are still progressing, which is encouraging to see.
