The watering hole...

I've joined the students in one of their regular routines....filling a thermos with hot, hot water for drinking. In China bottled water is the way to go for now. And it's got to be a booming business. All offices have a dispensing machine. Bottled water is a regular commodity in stores. Everyone drinks the product. In fact, I think more water is drunk than tea. Certainly on this campus. Although I'm back to drinking tea almost every day, it's not nearly as much as back in the States - water beats it out. (In case you're wondering about the coat at this time of the year, this picture was taken in March when it was colder!)

Although there is no paradise on earth, being here is turning out to be a wonderful experience. I never dreamed when I answered the call how great it actually would be.
